English-Speaking Naturopath in Rome
I'm Valentina Ganz, an Italian naturopath practising since 2007. I offer individual naturopathic consultations in English, in person in Rome, Perugia and Città della Pieve (Umbria), as well as online.
Consultations are available in Italian, English and German. I also have a basic knowledge of French and Russian.
My practice focuses on phytotherapy and Traditional Mediterranean Medicine, with particular attention to medicinal plants and their traditional uses. I integrate complementary wellbeing practices, including iridology, physiognomy and foot reflexology, within a personalised approach to wellbeing.
Alongside individual consultations, I offer training for individuals and groups.
Professional Affiliations
I practise under Italian Law No. 4 of 14 January 2013, which regulates professions not organised into professional orders.
I am a member of the professional associations Ele.Na. and Federazione Nazionale Naturopati Professionisti. I am also listed in the regional registers of practitioners of bio-natural disciplines in Tuscany and Lombardy, in the naturopathy section.

About myself
I completed a four-year course in naturopathy and pursued further training in phytotherapy at the University of Siena. In 2004, I met Costanza Giunti, a renowned Italian herbalist, who gave me the opportunity to study and later work in her herbal laboratory in Pitigliano, Tuscany. Working in this area, rich in Mediterranean medicinal plants, allowed me to combine the scientific study of medicinal plants with direct, hands-on experience in the field. This remains a defining part of my professional approach today. I have also contributed to teaching activities within the University of Siena's second-level postgraduate Master's programme in Phytotherapy.
I earned a first-level university Master's degree in Medical Humanities at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, graduating with the highest marks. I am a member of the Italian Society of Narrative Medicine (SIMeN) and the Italian Society of Phytotherapy (SIFit). I also completed professional training in psychosynthesis-based counselling in 2007, obtaining the title of professional counsellor.
Beyond my professional interests, I have a passion for literature and music. I hold a diploma in cello performance from the Florence Conservatory and a degree with honours in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Florence. I strongly believe in the value of reading and writing as tools for self-discovery and personal growth.
